My name is Mateusz Włoch but you can call me Matt. I am a photographer and filmmaker based in Gdańsk, Poland.
I started my photography journey with having only a $20 old camera - Zenit 12XP and no, it wasn’t 40 years ago when DSLR cameras didn’t exist (but still this camera is like 40 years old). It was back in 2012 and I just couldn’t afford any better gear - you have to work with what you’ve got right?
I just knew that I needed to keep some memories in any other way than just in my mind, so I kept learning on how this camera works and I tried to understand it in any possible way what it can or cannot do.
Now here we are - the present. I work on newest Sony cameras but still I have this old guy as a symbol of me having a vision for keeping reality in little black box with film inside.
Time is passing, but the vision remains the same.
